This tattoo is all about time passing as Im a bit afraid of getting old. A bullfinch, a pocketwatch and poppies. The bullfinch stands for youth and freedom. The watch is a real one my grandfather owns - it stands for time going by. The poppies are to picture decay.
I always wanted tattoos but never found the right artist and theme for it until I saw a friend with tattoos from Marco - Ive been in love instantly with his awesome style. So now that Im nearly 22 I finally got my first one by him. It took 4 hours and Ive been surprised how little it hurt most of the time. Will hopefully get my foot inked by the same artist in the fall this year.

This is my first tattoo, a lotus flower. The lotus flower grows in muddy water and rises above the surface to bloom with remarkable beauty. At night the flower closes and sinks underwater, at dawn it rises and opens again. Untouched by the impurity, lotus symbolizes the purity of heart and mind. I have had a really difficult childhood. I have been teased all my life for my looks/weight etc. It made me have very bed social anxiety and I am over coming it and growing into a better person everyday. No matter what I have gone through I still love myself and do not let anyone’s words effect my inner beauty. I love my tattoo so much and it is exactly what I wanted. My tattoo was done by Steffan at black shamrock tattoo parlor in Bakersfield, CA.

My tattoo i made on January the 27th. The studio “Queen of Rings” made this custom for me and it was a pleasure working with them.
The text is Swedish and means “We ware kids back then”, for me it symbolize my own teenage and leaving thing behind me. Something beautiful came out of it, and that’s the roses ;) DavidandArt.tumblr.com
This is my second and most meaningful tattoo. I got it done at Rising Dragon Tattoos in Manhattan, NY. It’s a compass with the initials of my parents and my sisters. The middle is a heart that connects all of them to me. I don’t know how I came up with that idea, but I wanna believe that if there is an afterlife, I can use that compass to guide me to them if we’re separated. It’s a really personal and poetic tattoo, and I love it.
This is my 5th and most painful tattoo! I got it at Sea Side Studios in Bath, ME by the one and only Kelly Londot Levitre.
The hummingbird is just something that always makes me think of my mother and my grandmother. They both have had hummingbird feeders all around their houses and when I was young I loved watching for them.
